Abigail Relocated

As of about 7:35 AM Abigail was on the road to New Orleans. Ab has recently switched job responsibilities, she is no longer a full time bridge designer, but now a full time bridge inspector. As her first task the DOTD of Louisiana asked B&N to come down to inspect the crescent city bridge (LaDOTD link). Ab is on a crew of 5, they normally have modest arrangements at hotels around the city they are working in. However since hotels in New Orleans are either water damaged, or filled with Telephone & Electrical contractors, she'll be finding herself in an RV for the next two weeks. I believe they will try to get into hotels ASAP, however there is no great hope of that happening.
Some may wonder why they would inspect at this point in time. Originally B&N had this job and she was going down the day after Labor Day. Once the hurricane hit that trip was cancelled. However on Thursday of this week the LaDOTD called and said "get down here and inspect our bridge, there is no traffic on it right now", interesting.
There is some question of how warm a welcome her crew will receive. She'll be going down to New Orleans, they'll dress the part of emergency workers, but when it comes down to it, they'll be doing private work, and not directly helping anyone in need. Should be interesting.
I've taught Abigail how to send me pictures of her experiences through her camera phone, check back for those updates, assuming they have cell phone service there.
Update:
After chatting with Abigail on the phone and looking where she is, it occurred to me to link to the google page showing the bridge in context to the rest of New Orleans. Here is the google maps hybrid view of the bridge. On the map the bridge is called "Crescent City Connection".

With Abby gone, Brett can now use his time for more useful pursuits:
1.) How many home-cooked meals can he get from his sister-in-law? This will actually turn into a count of how many times he will pay for and deliver Donatos to her house in the next two weeks.
2.) How much tv can a person watch in a two-week period while still maintaining a 50-hour work-week? My guess is 5 hours of quality programming an evening before he gets out the old video games. Which leads me to activity #3...
3.) How badly can the computer beat him at video football? It seems the more times Brett's receiver bounces the football off his helmet, the worse the computer plays. It's like the computer actually feels sorry for the poor sap. And you thought computers had no emotions.
4.) How many hours of old-man activities can he log? These pastimes include weeding, polishing his shoe horn, buying pork, chicken, or steak in massive quantities for individual-serving-size packaging and freezing, and canning any assortment of fruits and vegetables.
